Welcome.
The National East Asian Languages Resource Center (NEALRC) was founded in 1993. Since then, the NEALRC has contributed many initiatives designed to increase learners' abilities to master advanced levels of language and cultural competence. As of 1999, the NEALRC adopted its specific East Asian Languages focus in order to serve the needs of learners and teachers of East Asian languages as directly and immediately as possible.

An archive of teaching aids to promote the sharing of teaching materials and to provide teacher training materials.
EA L2 Share: Standard Reporting System on East Asian Language Programs
It aims at developing unified reporting procedures so that the programs can be clearly stated and compared.
Orient Yourself in East Asia
A Web site that assists American students in finding institutions in East Asia
At Home in Japan
A Web-based tutorial that gives a basic orientation to Japanese culture and society.
Pathway to Korean: Beginning Korean from Zero
This project produces first-level materials for students with no previous exposure to the Korean language.
Pathways to Advanced Skills and Other Publications
This series offers program builders and teachers of foreign languages conceptual and pedagogical resources.
